Skintervention Nigeria Unveils Exmay Givers Gallery at Feed A Child’s Skin Movement 2.0

Dedicated to Dr. Tai & Sheila Solarin, in collaboration with the Mayflower Old Students Association

October 1st, 2025.
As Nigeria celebrates 65 years of independence, Skintervention Nigeria proudly announces the launch of the Exmay Givers Gallery during the landmark event, Feed A Child’s Skin Movement 2.0, themed:

💚 “Where Every Student Number Tells a Story” 💚
✨ ONE NATION, ONE SKIN ✨

The Exmay Givers Gallery stands as a tribute to the enduring legacy of Dr. Tai Solarin and Sheila Solarin, founders of Mayflower School. It also recognizes the invaluable support of the Mayflower Old Students Association (Exmays), whose commitment and collaboration have been central to the success of the movement since its inception.

Celebrating a Legacy of Service

At the heart of this initiative is the convener, Kikelomo Opatola, a proud Exmay whose journey of service began at just 15 years old in 1999, when she served as a Medical Officer in the Mayflower School dispensary. That early experience shaped a lifelong commitment to humanity and has now evolved into a movement impacting countless children.

Speaking ahead of the unveiling, Opatola noted that:

“The Exmay Givers Gallery is more than a wall of names. It is a living monument to the generosity, unity, and service that define the Mayflower spirit. Each student number tells a story of transformation, proving that when we rise together, we can restore dignity and hope to every child.”

Feed A Child’s Skin Movement 2.0

Feed A Child’s Skin Movement was launched in 2022 at Mayflower School, where it immediately captured the spirit of service that defines the institution and its alumni. What started as a simple initiative has since grown into a collective force for child health and dignity across Nigeria. With the strong backing of Exmays, the movement has already demonstrated how alumni can transform their shared heritage into impactful, sustainable change.

Now in its second edition, the movement enters a new phase with the unveiling of the Exmay Givers Gallery — where individual contributions are transformed into collective stories of service and legacy.

Storytelling Through Spoken Word

In addition to the unveiling, the event will also feature the release of a powerful storytelling spoken word piece built around the central theme, “ONE NATION, ONE SKIN.”

The spoken word captures the essence of unity, resilience, and shared humanity — celebrating how every Exmay’s contribution strengthens the national fabric. It serves as both a cultural expression and a lasting anthem, ensuring that the message of dignity, service, and togetherness continues to echo far beyond the event.

A Tribute to the Solarins

The event is dedicated to the late Dr. Tai and Sheila Solarin, whose vision of education, discipline, and service continues to inspire generations. Their legacy lives on through the Mayflower Old Students Association and now finds new expression in this gallery of impact.
